Copyright and permissions

If you wish to obtain permission to reproduce all or part of a poem written by a Salamander Oasis poet, the position is as follows: the poets whose work is published in the Salamander anthologies and on this website granted the Trust permission to publish their work. However, copyright and all other author's rights were retained by the individual poets. If you wish to publish any work by a Salamander Oasis poet, you should contact the poet, their estate or their publisher for permission. The Salamander Oasis Trust does not have the authority to grant permission to reproduce any works by Salamander Oasis poets.

With the passage of time, the work of some Salamander Oasis poets may have entered the public domain. In addition, quotation of small portions of a work, particularly for scholarly purposes, may be covered by 'fair use' provisions. In these cases, you may not need to obtain prior permission before publishing.

Permission to publish portions of text (but not poems) appearing on this website in a manner that would reasonably constitute 'fair use' is, of course, automatically granted. For uses not covered by fair use, please contact us at the address given below.

For permission to reproduce text (but not poems) from any of the published Salamander Oasis Trust anthologies, please contact the publishers of the anthology.
