James Walker

1911 - 1982

James Walker was born in Manchester in 1911, and attended secondary school in North Wales. During World War II, he served in the RAF. A poet, playwright, novelist, critic and broadcaster, he published a volume of poetry in 1946, while his novel "Fine for the Fair" was published in 1957. He died in 1982.
